The social sector is often overwhelmed by complex, dry foresight reports. We will act as curators and librarians of inspiring stories from the future. The library will contain stories created using the Tomorrow Rooms (when organisations are comfortable to share), as well as stories we see others produce too. These stories won't just sit on shelves though.
Accessible stories from complex reports
We take 50-page policy papers and foresight reports and translate them into simple videos, audio stories, and day-in-the-life vignettes. We make the technical tangible. Stories from marginalised communities and grassroots innovators are often missing - we would love to work with others to include more of these voices.
Signposting and matchmaking
Want some stories for a session, conference or report? We can show you where on the shelves the specific scenarios - plausible, provocative, or radical stories from the future - are those that will most effectively spark the conversations you are looking to have today.
The Dark Wing
A curated space for ‘dark’, scary or unsettling futures - e.g. the rise of the far right, authoritarian government, climate breakdown, widespread social unrest. We don't hide these; we use them as a tool. By exploring these stories, organisations can identify how their current work could help guard against unwanted futures, or assess if their work might inadvertently lead to a negative outcome and learn how to actively prevent it.
The Creative Studio
Author ideas for the future through stories
“Write the future you want to build”
For organisations stuck in the status quo, the Creative Studio provides ways to break free from incremental thinking. This is a participatory space where you transition from being passive observers of the future to active architects of it. We are building a spectrum of creation tools catering to different levels of literacy and effort:
Crystal Ball
Just answer a few simple questions, then the Crystal Ball generates real-life stories using text and images, showing your idea come to life years in the future.
Low effort - mostly automatedFuture Scribe
An interactive, solo or group-based process where users answer questions about characters, adversity and helpers to build a story. Available as a card-based version to create with pen and paper, or a digital version with automatic assistance to help participants write stories.
Medium effort - semi-guidedTomorrow Rooms: Live Experience
A facilitated in-person group ‘escape room’ type challenge. Participants hear a ‘call’ from the future - an exciting, prosperous and equal future that is in danger - and must solve current problems and think through what needs to be done now. Combines personal facilitation and digital interfaces. Great for team or board away days.

Everything we do is based primarily around human intelligence - combining your knowledge and expertise with ours.
Our digital tools combine this human intelligence and in-depth preparation from our team, with some targeted artificial intelligence to assist in the writing of stories, with strategies to reduce bias and create content that's right for you. We use European AI providers regulated by the EU and powered by renewable energy as much as possible.

Narrative experts
E.g. Future Narratives Lab, Storytelling for Systems Change
There is lots of exciting strategic thinking going on building better and more hopeful narratives that resonate with the general public for progressive policies around climate, refugees, countering the far-right etc. We would love to draw on this work and collaborate: exploring how to draw on these narratives to help people create personal stories from the future - and vice versa, what role stories can play in changing overall narratives.

E.g. Futures in Draft
We love the work they're doing. What we have mostly seen is bespoke stories being crafted by a few authors. These can be brilliant, but we're looking to democratise the story creation process - enabling anyone to easily create their own stories - and in doing so, democratise futures strategy work.
